Monday: Today we started off with maths in maths we did a little bit of work on radius and diameter. In writing we were just reading our speeches out to a buddy. After morning tea it was time for technology I found a new idea to work on I lazer cut a 10 by 11 piece of wood as a square then I did the same again so I had two but instead the second one had nine even holes for my game of noughts and crosses my nine square the pop in and out of the big one have stickers on them resembling noughts and crosses. During Drama we went over our lines for grease and learnt a few more dances and also went over the dances we already knew. Chaplin wasn't there today so we did c.e in our room chaplin left a page of coloring in for us to do.
Tuesday: In Maths we worked out the diameter, radius and volume. In P.E we did choreographed dancing in time to a song in 4/4 beat. During French we worked on our play and practiced saying some of the words that we had trouble pronouncing, we also sang the song about the play. In social science I did my google a day because I had finished all my work. In reading we just did what we would normally do listen to someone reading shooting stars and then write the summary, I got to read some of the book today. During sport we just worked on some ball tactics and played a game with the other girls football team.
Wednesday: Today some girls from Diocesan came to talk to us about life at Dio and a bit about their school. Two students came from year nine and two students came from year twelve, the things they talked about were really helpful and now I understand more about Dio and what its like. After that we did some writing we practiced our speeches as usual and timed them to prepare for presenting our speeches. Then it was time for science in science we learnt about atoms and that there are 118 different atoms that surprised me because I would of guessed about 1,000 different atoms. Each item on the periodic table is a different type of atom as there are 118 different atoms on the periodic table. There are something called electrons shells and they surround the atom. The atoms is also made up of particles for example protons, neutrons, and electrons. The protons and the neutrons make up the atom. Atoms cannot be cut that is because they are indisvile. There are 118 different types of atoms they all come from the periodic table.
Thursday: Today we started by doing writing as we were working on our speeches I did the same as yesterday practiced reading them and timing them my speech was for whole minutes. After that we read shooting stars Mrs Morton read it to us and we just write the summary. Then during social studies we finished off our iterative design. Then in syndicate assembly someone from world vision came to talk to us it was quite interesting and sad at the same time because of what the children in Sudan are going through. Then we went to art and pottery Im in art it was so fun we carried on from our project from last week doing our Dr.seuss work. Its sorta like free time to do anything Dr.seuss related using stencils, paint pens and even rollers. During sports time the fields were closed so we did some stretches from 3:20-4:30 in Miss Wrights classroom with her and the first and seconds girls football teams.
Friday: Today in french we practiced our plays about Le petit cochon in my play I was playing the part as Le deux petit cochon. After that it was time for writing during writing we finished off our speeches and got them prepared to start reading them next week. Then it was music time during music we did our peer assessments and then if we were ready Mrs Wigmore came and assessed us on the guitar I think I did pretty well.
